“ These folks make everything from scratch and they know how to cook. They have a grilled cheese that has cream cheese, jalapeno and bacon, on their bread and browned to perfection. They're a 25 minute drive from our house, we found them when we were in that part of town for other reasons but we consider them worth the drive. Oh, and cinnamon rolls. and possibly the best eggs benedict I've ever had. ”
“ I ordered the ultimate breakfast burrito with avocado and red onion. WOW! Best breakfast burrito I've ever had. Truly amazing food and love that everything is homemade! I highly recommend eating here. I only write reviews for places that truly deserve them and this place deserves this review. ”
“ Great breakfast spot with great service and hospitality. I got BLT with fries and it was delicious. I will definitely return and try other menu options. ”
“ Love this place! Both locations are close to each other. Thwy share the same server's and delicious breakfast lunch menu . My daughter who is vegan has options here and it's a place where we both can enjoy our different food menu options. Highly recommended! Dress super casual, that is the easy going vibe. Forget your makeup and be comfortable ”
“ I love eating local and finding great food off the beaten (and often pricey) path! The Wooden Spoon fits that bill all the way around. My favorite dishes are the Angry Irishman and the pancakes can't be beat. ”
“ The best local gem! It's a little hidden, but absolutely amazing. All the bread is freshly made from a sourdough starter which is much healthier. The service is always wonderful and quick. Everyone is super sweet and clearly loves working there. The hash browns are incredible... the cinnamon rolls... the caramel macchiato pancakes... the breakfast burrito. All amazing! ”
“ Great breakfast place for one or two people. Quick service and a great place for a quick good breakfast. The biscuits and gravy were delicious and the hash browns were cooked perfectly. Thumbs up to the grill master ”
“ The Breakfast Burrito "Chimichanga" Breakfast Burritos* The Wooden Spoon Roe Ave location is tucked around the corner but worth the hunt. Very comfortable and friendly family restaurant the modeled similar to the original location and cozy. Always greeted with a friendly smile and service is always attentive. Around the corner from McClains on Roe if you need an alternative from the long McClains line walk on in they never gave a wait. If I could improve anything it would be to move to a gourmet coffee. If that is not your thing the classic Americana blend with half and half in plastic servings will suffice. The menu is classic and they feature avocado toast, omelettes, pancakes, eggs Benedict etc. The breakfast burritos are the best value on the menu and a go to. They offer (2) burritos as pictured for $14 with a side and this is the perfect meal to splitsky! You can do (1) burrito for $11 but why? Take the second home and toaster oven that bad boy. You can get these regular but I opt for chimichanga style. The wrap becomes as light as croissant when deep fried and it fuses the fillings. Chorizo, bacon, sausage all good choices. I would suggest another side then hash browns as there are hash browns in the burrito - lesson learned. Great value all over the menu Great service Clean Nice ambiance No wait This is gourmet coffe away from a 5*! 4.5* for sure! ”
“ What a great place to pop in for breakfast or lunch! I met a friend here and she brought her baby. The server was very accommodating and made sure we were comfortable. The food was delicious. We ordered the classic Benny, breakfast burritos, caramel macchiato pancakes and the BLT. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the portions were generous and the service was friendly! This is a little hole in the wall and definitely a stop in! ”
